mona fani is a persian-canadian multi-media artist based on unceded lands belonging to the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-waututh), and sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nations; also known as vancouver, bc.
she currently works as a animation producer at Ordinary Folk. mona enjoys facilitating like minds to creatively solve problems and is passionate about the intersection of art and branding. she is also open for graphic work and has designed graphics for film, editorial and branded content.
mona’s photographic practice is rooted in patience and observation – capturing curious moments in the everyday.
she also helps old ladies cross the street (mostly her mamanjune or “granny”) - you know, the good stuff.
she holds a degree in film + video and integrated media from emily carr university of art + design and doesn’t regret going to art school.
